Armed Forces Community Open Days
Throughout the year we hold Armed Forces Community Open Days at various locations around the county. The aim of these events is to bring together as many statutory bodies and charitable organisations that provide support to veterans and their families all in to one location. This will allow them to have face to face contact with the most appropriate organisation to meet their individual needs and if need be, be signposted to other organisations to provide a collaborative approach to their situation.
On 24 June 2026 we will be holding an Open Day at North Kesteven District Council Offices, Sleaford NG34 7EF. Volunteers are always needed to help us with a variety of tasks such as meeting & greeting beneficiaries and facilitating access to refreshments. Are you a UK Armed Forces veteran who has experienced mental ill health? We are looking for suitable individuals to help us provide one to one peer support to veterans and their families across the county.
The role of the peer support worker would be to share their lived experience so as to improve the health and wellbeing of the beneficiary.
